What happens during my first appointment?
Your first appointment is an extended consultation so please up to an hour for this appointment. Your practitioner will take a detailed history, assess your movement, diagnose your condition, and provide hands-on treatment. You’ll also receive a tailored plan and education to support your recovery going forward.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your injury and treatment goals. Research suggests that most conditions require a miniumum of 4-6 sessions to make a sustainable change. Many clients see improvement in symptoms within 2-4 sessions. Chronic or complex conditions may take longer. Your practitioner will outline a clear treatment plan during your first visit including rehabilitation timeframes & frequency of sessions required to achieve your goals. We encourage all our clients to ask as many questions as you like, our practitioners will always work with you to come up with the best approach that suits you.
What’s the difference between remedial massage and relaxation massage?
Remedial massage focuses on treating muscle tightness, injuries, and pain, using techniques such as deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release. Relaxation massage is gentler and aims to reduce stress and tension.
Can I claim private health insurance on your services
Yes – all of our practitioners (including our remedial massage therapists) are registered with all private health insurers. We have HICAPS onsite to facilitate instant rebates. If you forget your private health card, we can issue you an invoice to claim your service back manually with your health insurer.

Our remedial massage therapists are highly trained in working with people who have sports injuries & can safely deliver treatment suitable to your condition. If the injury requires further rehabilitation or input, they may recommend completing a consult with our physiotherapy team.
